Features is the alternative name for the collection of Monterey plugins - also know as Tiles (highlighted by the red rectangle in the screenshot below - marker 1). We call them plugins, because they are user installable, where the (built in) feature provides the GUI interface to the process of creation of new user defined features.

In addition to tiles, this document explains the function of Monterey toolbar items (marker 2), conventiently placed in the Monterey footer
